Altiere 70th is celebrated at Holiday Inn

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The 70th anniversary of their marriage was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Altiere, 1537 Chattanooga Ave., in the company of family members and friends during a buffet reception held Oct. 3 at the Holiday Inn, Boardman.
The former Amelia DeCarlo and Mr. Altiere were married Oct. 3, 1934, at St. Dominic Church. They are the parents of Nancy DeLucia of Youngstown and Nick Altiere of Las Vegas, and they have four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Altiere worked as a desk clerk at McGuffey Lanes, cashier and desk clerk at Welles Department Store and head cashier at Jewel Mart in Liberty, where she retired in 1978.
Mr. Altiere was employed 25 years with Automatic Sprinkler in Youngstown and 10 years with Himrod Auto Body, prior to retiring in 1978. He is an avid golfer.
