TAC/ICL VOLLEYBALL Hubbard clinches league title share by beating Liberty
Last year, the Eagles failed to win the TAC championship for the first time ever.
HUBBARD -- Kim Budd had 21 points, Callie Oyler had 11 kills and Danielle Nock added 11 kills and 10 blocks for the Hubbard High volleyball team, which clinched a share of the Trumbull Athletic Conference with a 29-27, 25-10, 25-12 win over Liberty Thursday.
Kate Tobey added 15 digs, seven kills and three aces for the Eagles (17-3, 14-0), ranked 15th in the state in Division II.
Hubbard, which failed to win the league last year for the first time in school history, can clinch the TAC outright win a win over Girard or Brookfield.
Jesse Szakacs had 19 assists and 11 points and Chelsea O'Donnell had 13 digs for Liberty (9-8, 6-8).

CHAMPION -- Heather Pegg had 15 kills, Chantel Greathouse had 30 assists and Lindsay Templeton had 13 blocks for Champion (5-11, 2-10 TAC).
Lindsay Whetzel had 12 kills, 21 digs, 15 points and 10 aces for Lakeview (12-7, 7-5). Michelle Antonelli had 36 assists.

LEAVITTSBURG -- Erin Stevens had 34 assists and 12 digs, while Elise Roscoe added 16 kills and 12 digs for Girard.
Hillary Patterson had 11 points and Chelsea Morrison added 11 kills and four blocks for the Indians (16-4, 10-2 TAC).
Maddie D'Orio had 16 kills and three blocks for LaBrae (10-8, 6-6). Laura Bate added 26 digs.

BERLIN CENTER -- Tekla Toman scored six points, with 18 kills, five digs and two blocks for the Blue Devils (13-6, 6-2 Inter-County League). Katie Harmon had 17 points, two aces, 10 digs and 40 assists. Sara Kutsko had two points, 12 kills and 10 blocks.
Katie Garland led the Rams (12-6) 10 points, four aces, two kills, 10 digs and 10 assists.

NORTH LIMA -- Pam Miller had 26 assists, three aces and nine digs to spark the Raiders (5-13, 4-4 ICL). Tara Chizmar had five digs and 15 kills.
Rebekah Sturgis led the Rockets with eight digs.
