MERIDIAN SERVICES Nonprofit agency names new leader
The new CEO is a former United Way professional.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Lawrence J. Moliterno has been named chief executive officer of Meridian Services.
Moliterno, former director of planning and community investment for the Youngstown/ Mahoning Valley United Way, succeeds Martin K. Gaudiose, who has accepted a position with the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services in Columbus.
The Meridian Services Board of Directors, which hired Moliterno at its August meeting, believes "Mr. Moliterno has the skills that are needed to take Meridian Services to the next level. He is a proven leader with many years of nonprofit experience," said Dennis Krancevich, board president.
Moliterno has 2O years of both for-profit and nonprofit leadership and management experience. Prior to his position with the United Way, Moliterno served as executive director of the Catholic Charities Regional Agency.
Biographical
Moliterno holds a master's degree in business administration from Youngstown State University, where he is a part-time instructor in non-profit leadership.
Moliterno is a member of the Youngstown Rotary and has served on numerous community and advisory boards, including the Comprehensive Strategy for Youth, Mahoning County Family First Council, Youngstown City Schools Urban Congress, Wick Neighbors, the Healthy Valley Alliance, Leadership Mahoning Valley, and the Trumbull County Housing Collaborative.
Moliterno was selected as Meridian Services' CEO after a national search.

Meridian Services, a private, nonprofit organization located on Meridian Road, provides health and social wellness programs to individuals of all ages. Services range from chemical dependency and mental health treatment to housing for the homeless and primary health care, officials said.
