WARREN -- Michelle Pelini had 37 hits and 18 digs as the Cardinal Mooney High volleyball team stayed unbeaten in the Steel Valley Conference with a 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 win over Warren Harding Thursday.
Sarah Pelini added 27 hits, 15 digs, two aces and two kills for Mooney (13-3, 4-0). Amanda Comanescu had 31 assists, 14 points and three digs for Warren Harding (5-11, 0-3). Shanese Logan added 12 kills and four blocks.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Senior Adrienne Peace had 17 points, with 10 aces, and 43 assists, while senior Quiana Faison added 10 points and six aces, and sophomore Jasmyn Hopkins had seven blocks and three kills for Chaney (12-7) in a City Series match.

STRUTHERS -- Angela Monico led the Wildcats (5-12, 2-9) with 14 digs in a Metro Athletic Conference match. Nicole Robenolt had five kills and Brianne Ciccone had six assists. Jennifer McLaughlin had five blocks.

MASSILLON -- Sarah Hamilton led the Quakers (16-4) with 12 kills, two tips and three blocks. Katie Finnigun had 12 points and two aces, 10 kills, three tips and three blocks. Jessica Potts had 34 assists, four aces and a tip.

KINSMAN -- Alycia Israel had 14 assists and six kills and Christa Israel had six aces and three digs for Lordstown (16-1, 12-0 Northeast Athletic Conference). Samantha Kistler added 18 points and four blocks.

EAST PALESTINE -- Amanda Mesmer led the Bulldogs (9-8, 7-5) with 13 kills and five blocks in a Tri-County League match.
Korie Beight scored 14 points, with 10 kills and 11 digs. Jen Yokley had 21 points, six kills and 11 digs.
Kayla Faudrel paced the Trojans (5-12, 3-9) with four points, four kills, four assists and a block. Ashley Amabeli had five kills and five blocks.

BELOIT -- Dena New paced the Warriors (15-5, 8-4 Northeastern Buckeye Conference) with nine points, three kills, 30 assists and a block. Lauren Pshniak had six points, 10 kills, six blocks and 18 passes.
Allie Buckohr led Northwest with 18 kills and 25 digs and Melissa Parnacott scored 14 points, with three aces.
