LOWELLVILLE & amp;#150; There will be funeral services Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Kirila Funeral Home in Struthers and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Provider Church in Campbell for Julius Anthony Tofil Sr., 86, who entered into rest Thursday evening at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. & lt;BR & gt;
Mr. Tofil, also known as & amp;#147;Ulek, & amp;#148; was born Aug. 3, 1918 in Campbell, a son of Jacob and Anelia Lyda Tofil, and was a lifelong area resident. & lt;BR & gt;
A Campbell Memorial High School graduate, he worked for LTV Steel Co. for 42 years, retiring in 1980 as a supervisor in the seamless department. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the Army & amp;#146;s European Tank Division during WWII. & lt;BR & gt;
He was a member of the church, where he sang in the Polish choir, was an usher and a former member of the men & amp;#146;s club. He was a volunteer fireman for Coitsville Township. He was a member of VFW Post No. 4723 and PLAV Post No. 101. He coached Campbell Little League for 10 years and was a member of the Campbell Golf League and the Jednota Golf League. He also enjoyed bowling, singing, playing the guitar and violin and traveling. & lt;BR & gt;
His wife, the former Stella Partika, whom he married April 18, 1942, died Aug. 18. & lt;BR & gt;
He leaves a daughter, Pat Sgambati; a son, Julius (Sandy) Tofil; six grandchildren, Stacy (John) Blasko, Tony (Tracey) Sgambati, Shelly (Dennis) Weems, Julius & amp;#147;B.J. & amp;#148; (Suzette) Tofil III, Judy Sgambati and Pat (Mary Ann) Tofil; five great-grandchildren, Jenna, Kaylee and Andrew Weems, Samantha Tofil and Luke Blasko; and a sister, Sophie Szenborn of Campbell. & lt;BR & gt;
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Julia Belak; and three brothers, John, Stanley and Louis Tofil. & lt;BR & gt;
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. & lt;BR & gt;
