SOCCER Baker, Morello each net two in Lakeview win

HUBBARD -- Kasey Baker and Britni Morello each scored two goals Tuesday as the Lakeview High girls soccer team edged Hubbard 4-3 in a Trumbull Athletic Conference game.
Goalkeeper Lindsey Mellott made 12 saves for the Bulldogs (9-2), who led 4-1 at halftime.
For Hubbard (3-8), Bonnie Besze, Erica Wittenauer and Kelsey Demyen scored goals while Natalie Bata had two assists.
The Eagles played three goalkeepers -- Tressa Scahill (five saves), Hope Wright (one) and Tina Takash (one).
Boys
COLUMBIANA -- Eric Ostrander scored on an assist by Jeff Harold as Columbiana defeated Crestview, 1-0. Ryan Guy added 20 saves for the Clippers (5-7-1).
Brian Glick set a school record with 54 saves for Crestview.
Massillon Jackson 2, Boardman 1
BOARDMAN -- Bob Davis scored a second-half goal for Boardman (4-1-1), but undefeated Jackson broke a 1-1 tie with 16 minutes left to win the Federal League game.
West Branch 3, Northwest 0
CANAL FULTON -- Joe Starkey had a goal and an assist, while Johnny Wallace and Aaron Cronin also scored for the Warriors (7-4-2) in a Northeastern Buckeye Conference game.
Matt Roesti added an assist and Shane Young had eight saves.
