Butler Wick movessales office to Boardman
BOARDMAN -- Butler Wick & amp; Co. has moved the Youngstown sales office of its private client group to 8286 South Ave. The office, which used to be in Butler Wick's main office in downtown Youngstown, has 15 employees, including 10 financial advisers. Michael Paterchak, senior vice president, said the move provides more office space for a growing operation and better access for clients. Some clients would prefer to meet with advisers in Boardman, he said. The private client group also has offices in Canfield, Salem, Howland and Sharon.
In downtown, Butler Wick occupies three floors of the City Centre One building, where administration, insurance, investment management, marketing and trust operations are located.
Merger leads to closingof Slippery Rock bank
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- First National Bank of Slippery Rock will disappear Friday when the merger of its parent company is completed with F.N.B. Corp.
Two Slippery Rock branches are being closed. One in the Giant Eagle in Slippery Rock closed Friday, and one in Grove City will close Saturday. The branches are being closed because they are close to other branches of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, which is a subsidiary of F.N.B.
All other Slippery Rock branches will become part of First National Bank. Slippery Rock customers will not have to make any changes, said Gary Roberts, First National Bank president. Shareholders of Slippery Rock Financial Corp. approved the merger with Hermitage-based F.N.B. in September.
