GROVE CITY COLLEGE Homecoming 2004
Grove City College's 2004 homecoming is expected to draw thousands of alumni and visitors to the Grove City College campus this weekend. A number of events are open to the public, including:
FRIDAY
7:30 p.m.: Harbison Chapel, Jack Kennedy Memorial Alumni Achievement Awards honoring Nancy Byers Eaton Stedman, Class of '54, Barbara Spotz Johnson, Class of '79 and Richard L. Pease, Class of '67.
8:30 p.m.: New Student Activities Center, dedication of the building followed by fireworks by Zambelli's.
SATURDAY
9 a.m.: Intramural fields, women's rugby game.
9:30-11 a.m.: Career Services Open House in the new offices in the Physical Learning Center.
10 a.m.: Sticht Lecture Hall, (Hall of Arts and Letters), Grove City College Admissions Office presentation; upper soccer fields, women's alumni soccer game.
10:30 a.m.: Intramural fields, men's alumni lacrosse game; varsity soccer fields, men's alumni soccer game; WolvArena, women's alumni volleyball game.
11 a.m.: Downtown Grove City, homecoming parade down Pine and Broad Streets with a float theme of reality television.
Noon to 1:30 p.m.: MAP West Dining Hall, lunch. Cost is $10 for adults, $ 5 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
2 p.m.: Thorn Field, Grove City College Wolverines take on the Thiel Tomcats. Halftime will feature the Wolverine Marching Band and the crowning of the 2004 Homecoming Queen. Intramural fields, men's alumni rugby game.
SUNDAY
10:30 a.m.: Harbison Chapel, homecoming worship service with the Rev. Richard A. Morledge '54, former dean of chapel, speaking on "Catching the Spirit."
