VOLLEYBALL Hubbard stays perfect in TAC, topping LaBrae

The Eagles extended their undefeated streak in the TAC to 10 matches.
HUBBARD -- Callie Oyler had 14 kills and Maggie Bogdan added 10 kills and five blocks as the Hubbard High volleyball team defeated LaBrae, 25-13, 25-23, 25-15 Monday.
Corrie Gasser added 20 assists and Kylene Hoch had 18 digs for the Eagles (13-3, 10-0 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Maddie D'Orio led LaBrae (10-6, 5-4) with nine kills. Lindsay Gordon had 15 assists, Lindsay Higgins had seven points and Laura Bate had eight digs.

PERRY -- Michelle Antonelli had 35 assists and nine points for the Bulldogs (12-5), while Lindsay Whetzel added 32 digs and nine kills and Chelsea Butler nine kills and an ace. Perry is 14-3.

SALEM -- Katie Finnicum led the Quakers with four aces, seven kills and a tip.
Sarah Brobeck came up with an ace, six kills and a block for Salem (14-4).
For the Spartans (5-12), April Melquist had 10 kills and three blocks. Amy Palowsky had nine kills and a block.

NILES -- The Wildcats (4-10, 2-6 Metro Athletic Conference) rallied behind Nicole Robenolt's 20 kills and Brianne Ciccone's 19 assists.
Niles (3-12, 0-6) was led by Amanda Furey's 14 blocks, Alyssa Suckow's 12 kills and Laura Ruberto's 17 digs.

EAST PALESTINE -- Lindsay Johnson paced the Tigers (14-5) with 23 kills and seven points. Rachel Mincher scored 18 points.
For East Palestine (7-8), Amanda Mesmer collected 17 kills, 17 points and 18 blocks.
Tiffany Faust had 26 points, four aces, 82 sets and 30 assists.

COLUMBIANA -- Tricia Richards had seven kills and seven digs, while Elyse Mongillo picked up 20 assists and 62 attempts for the Rebels (17-0).
For the Raiders (4-13), Tara Chizmar had four kills and four blocks. Annie Semko had three kills and six blocks.
