Crew 3, Fire 3
COLUMBUS -- The Columbus Crew extended its unbeaten streak to a league single-season record 15 games. The Crew's streak also matches a 15-game streak by the Los Angeles Galaxy over the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Chicago forward Andy Herron scored twice with his team a man down to help the Fire salvage the tie. Columbus was helped by an own goal by Chicago defender Jim Curtin in the 64th minute. The Fire opened the scoring in the 14th minute when forward Damani Ralph scored on a spot kick after going down in the penalty area. The Crew tied the game in the 45th minute on Kyle Martino's converted a penalty kick after teammate Duncan Oughton was pulled down in the box. Oughton assisted forward Jeff Cunningham in the 56th minute, giving the Crew a 2-1 lead. Three minutes later, Herron sent a bending shot from 21 yards past Crew goalkeeper Jon Busch.
Revolution 2, Burn 0
FOXBORO, Mass. -- Taylor Twellman and Steve Rolston scored, and the New England Revolution kept their hopes for a postseason berth alive. Twellman scored in the 42nd minute, and Rolston in the 47th minute for New England.
DC United 1, MetroStars 0
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Freddy Adu scored on a deflected shot early in the first half, leading DC United. Adu stole the ball from defender Jeff Parke, then fired a shot off Parke into the goal in the 16th minute.
San Jose 1, Colorado 1, tie
DENVER -- Dwyane DeRosario scored a goal for San Jose in the 82nd minute. Colorado took an early lead on Jean Philippe Peguero's seventh goal of the season.
