The biographies:
Patrone
Patrone was a YWBA member for 33 years, reaching high average of 169, high game of 260 and high series of 610. She was owner-operator of Camelot Lanes with her husband, Richard, since it was built in 1964, and she started many leagues and worked with secretaries to keep bowlers returning year after year.
Patrone was a board member of the Youngstown Junior Bowling Association and served on its scholarship committee. She also served as a YWBA Hall of Fame committee member. For over 25 years, she managed the junior program on Saturday mornings.
In 1966, she and her husband pioneered the first bowling program for Mahoning County challenged children. Eventually, it led to their participation in Special Olympics.
Barnett
Barnett bowled in over 36 YWBA city tournaments and in over 25 Ohio Women's Bowling Association state tournaments for which she received a 25-year pin in 2003. She was a longtime Swan's League bowler and served as its secretary and treasurer for many years.
In 1974, Barnett started coaching juniors at Lincoln Lanes, then went to McGuffey/Classic Lanes until 2002-2003. She was also a YJBA board member from 1994-98.
A highlight of her 20-plus years as a Senior Olympics bowler was this year when Barnett teamed with Mary Jane Johnson to place first. The accomplishment qualified them for the nationals in Pittsburgh in 2005. Barnett was also fifth in the YWBA senior tournament at Amron Lanes.
Woodward
Woodward has been Boardman Ladies League secretary on Wednesday afternoons for 27 years. Her selection was based on compliance with rules and regulations of the Women's International Bowling Congress and the YWBA.
