Merrill scores four TDs to ignite Leetonia's TCL rout of Southern

SALINEVILLE -- Aaron Merrill scored four times and Jamie Kegelmeyer tallied twice to spark Leetonia past Southern 62-13 in a Tri-County League game Friday.
The Bears (5-1, 3-0) out-gained Southern, 543-206.
Merrill finished with 10 carries for 172 yards, while Kegelmeyer picked up 130 yards on six tries. Jon Williams, Andy Kisner and Kaid Todd had single TDs for the winners.
Contributing to Leetonia's rushing total were Williams with 78 yards and Jaime Milson with 63.
Nick Puckett scored Southern's (1-5, 0-3) two touchdowns and finished by rushing for 179 yards on 25 carries.
East Palestine 43, Lisbon 14
EAST PALESTINE -- Senior Brett Young made the most of his first career start at quarterback, completing 13 of 20 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns.
Joe Thompson had five catches for 117 yards and touchdowns covering 70 and 9 yards for the Bulldogs (2-4, 1-2 TCL).
Pat Figley ran 13 times for 138 yards and three touchdowns (14, 33 and 47 yards).
For Lisbon (2-3, 1-2), Dana Rose ran 19 times for 152 yards and touchdowns of 54 and 1 yards.
