LONDON -- Arsenal extended its unbeaten streak in the Premier League to 48 games Saturday, getting two goals from Thierry Henry in a 4-0 victory over Charlton and bouncing back from a Champions League tie.
Freddie Ljungberg and Jose Antonio Reyes scored the other goals in the home victory, a big turnaround from the 1-1 result against Norway's Rosenborg 1-1 Wednesday.
Captain Patrick Vieira and defender Lauren confronted each other on the team bus after the Champions League game, causing police to be called. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger dismissed the scuffle as minor and said it showed the team cared.
The Gunners took the lead after 35 minutes when Dennis Bergkamp got the ball to Ljungberg. Henry scored in the 48th -- backheeling the ball through the legs of Jonathan Fortune into the far corner of the net -- and on the 69th after an exchange with Reyes. A minute later, Reyes added the fourth with a left-footed shot into the far corner from Bergkamp's cross.
Arsenal has scored 26 goals in eight games -- second-place Chelsea has only seven in seven games. Seventh-place Newcastle has the next highest with 14 goals.
In other games, it was: Blackburn 2, Aston Villa 2; Tottenham 1, Everton 0; Norwich 2, Portsmouth 2; Manchester City 0, Southampton 0; and West Bromwich Albion 2, Bolton 1.
Arsenal has 22 points, followed by Chelsea with 17, Everton with 16, Tottenham with 13 and Bolton and Manchester United with 12 each.
