MOUNT UNION (3-0) vs. CAPITAL (3-0)
Game time: 1:30 at Bernlohr Stadium, BexleySeries history: Mount Union leads, 24-12, and won last year, 35-7Scouting report: Mount Union defeated Otterbein, 41-10, last week, while Capital beat Heidelberg, 38-0. The top two rated quarterbacks in the OAC will square off. MUC's Zac Bruney and Capital's Rocky Pentello are first and second, respectively, in total offense, passing and passing efficiency. Bruney is 46-for-71 for 721 yards and 6 TDs with 3 interceptions, while Pentello is 54-for-89 for 672 yards and 7 TDs with no interceptions. MUC has three players with eight receptions -- RB Rick Ciccone, WR Jason Cavell and WR Scott Casto. Capital's top receivers are Kyle Rankin with nine and Matt Friesner and Rick Shafer with eight apiece. MUC's defensive leaders are OLB Anthony Frate (17 tackles), MLB Shaun Spisak (15.5), S Ken Whitfield (14) and OLB Mike Gibbons (10). Capital's top defenders are LB Bart Sparhawk (21 tackles), DB Thom Hausler (19), DB Kyle Hausler (17) and L Matt Evans (15).

HIRAM (0-3) vs. EARLHAM (1-3)
Game time: 1 p.m. at M.O. Ross Field, Richmond, Ind.Series history: Earlham leads, 4-0, winning last year, 28-24.Scouting report: Hiram didn't play last week while Earlham lost to Wabash, 46-0. Hiram fell to Westminster on Sept. 18, 41-22. QB Max Kravitz threw three TD passes to rally Hiram to within 27-22. Junior WR Niarchos had five catches for 120 yards. Kravitz is 33-for-81 for 363 yards and 4 TDs while Tim Anderson leads Hiram's rushing attack with 239 yards in 69 attempts for a 3.5-yard average. Defensively, Jim Conley has two interceptions. Earlham junior QB Justin Rummell completed 24-of-39 for 236 yards, while LB Kevin Bick made 13 tackles.
THIEL (3-1)vs. WASHINGTON & amp; JEFFERSON (4-0)
Game time: 1:30 p.m. at Alumni Stadium, Greenville, Pa.Series history: W & amp;J leads, 34-21-2, and won last year, 17-10.Scouting report: W & amp;J defeated Emory & amp; Henry last week, 76-28, while Thiel beat Bethany, 28-14. W & amp;J set an Div. III record for the most points scored in one quarter with 49 in the first period. The Presidents' 76 points were the most scored since a 105-0 win over Dickinson in 1914. Junior QB Chris Edwards was 7-of-8 for 241 yards and four TDs in the first 12 minutes of the game. Sophomore RB Ryan Mendel rushed for 50 yards and two scores while WR Jacob Shield had three catches for 114 yards, including a 73-yard TD. Junior WR Aaron Krepps scored two TDs on a 29-yard pass and a 64-yard punt return, both coming within a span of one minute and within the first two minutes of the game. For Thiel, senior FS Kennard Davis (Farrell) had three interceptions against Bethany to raise his career total to 20, and also came up with eight tackles. Davis was named the PAC defensive player of the week. Freshman TB Steve Minton rushed for 182 yards while junior WR Brandon Chambers (Farrell) had nine catches for 153 yards and two TDs. Senior QB Derrell Satterfield was 18-for-29 for 220 yards and two TDs. Junior OLB Tom Wozniak led the Tomcats with 10 tackles while MLB Robert Drake (Chaney) had 7.5.

GROVE CITY (2-2) vs. BETHANY (0-3)
Game time: 2 p.m. at Rine Field, Bethany, W. Va.Series history: Grove City leads, 34-19-3, and won last season, 17-3.Scouting report: Grove City lost to Muhlenberg, 27-3, while Bethany lost to Thiel, 28-14. Grove City was held to 109 total yards and eight first downs, and committed four turnovers. SE Bo Danton and WB Adam Wargo each had three catches for the Wolverines. Grove City's defensive leader was senior LB Mike Choby with 15 tackles. Despite losing, Bethany had its best offensive performance of the season with 409 yards, but turnovers plagued the Bison, who were intercepted four times in the second half. Freshman RD Derrick Keith scored two TDs and finished with 79 yards rushing for before being injured and missing most of the second half. Freshman Milton Joyner had his best game of the season with eight catches for 196 yards, while senior Zack Merz had five.

MALONE (2-0) vs. WALSH (3-1)
Game time: Noon at Fawcett Stadium, CantonSeries history: Walsh leads the series, 6-3, and won last year, 44-36, for its fifth win in a row.Scouting report: At stake is the Dick Gallagher Memorial Trophy. Walsh, ranked No. 10 in the NAIA poll last week, lost to Trinity International last week, 23-22, while Malone defeated St. Francis (Ill.), 30-7. For Walsh, Chase Hostetler rushed for 164 yards to boost his season total to 549. Junior QB Dan Kane was 10-of-18 for 216 yards, and ranks No. 2 in the MSFA. Junior Darryl Owens had seven catches for 124 yards. Malone senior Jeremy Rininger kicked three field goals and punted for a 38.2-yard average. Senior QB Brad Reifsnyder was 14-for-29 for 227 yards, including two TD passes to freshman Alphonso Owen, who had three receptions for 95 yards. The Malone defense was led by senior DB Mitch Fusek (Canfield) with seven tackles while junior LB Kevin Andrysek had six.

SLIPPERY ROCK (3-2)vs. CALIFORNIA, PA. (3-1)
Game time: 7 p.m. at Adamson Stadium, California, Pa.Series history: California won last year, 22-19.Scouting report: Slippery Rock beat Lock Haven last week, 31-3, while California lost to Clarion, 35-34. Slippery Rock scored 30 or more points for the third straight game for the first time since 2000. RB Josh Kniess scored three TDs to increase his career total to 22. Kniess has rushed for 616 yards and nine TDs. Senior DE Jesse Kelley caused and recovered a fumble and blocked a field goal attempt. Senior LB Greg Baker intercepted a pass for the second straight game. California lost to Clarion on the final play of the game. WR Claude Whittaker caught five passes for 148 yards and two scores. Antoine Bagwell rushed for 191 yards and increased his PSAC-leading average to 173 yards per game. QB Matt Humpert passed for 274 yards as a replacement for Joe Ruggiero.
GENEVA (1-2)vs. ST. FRANCIS, IND. (3-0)
Game time: 7 p.m. at Reeves Stadium, Beaver Falls, Pa.Series history: St. Francis leads, 5-1, and won last year, 49-16.Scouting report: Geneva's rally fell short in a 34-26 loss to St. Xavier (Ill.) last week in the Golden Tornadoes' home opener. QB Justin Sciarro was 21-of-32 for 241 yards and three touchdowns, two to Matt Nowaczynski and one to Tony Clackler. Clackler had eight catches for 99 yards. Josh Mullen rushed for 139 yards and one TD, and has 2,775 career yards, good for third on Geneva's all-time list. Defensively, ILB Brian Hall has 35 tackles to rank second in the MSFA. St. Francis routed Iowa Wesleyan last week, 62-8, behind a strong ground attack that produced eight touchdowns. The Cougars compiled 536 yards of total offense.
