XCanfield Chapter 3104, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screening will begin at noon. There will be a program by the Canfield Middle School Band.

XCornersburg Happy Seniors will meet Thursday at the Lockwood House, Boardman. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m. The menu will be sliced roast beef and roast chicken. Kitty Saltsman will preside, and a vocalist will entertain. There will be a 50-50 drawing.

XBridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. XMahoning Chapter 18 of Public Employee Retirees Inc. will meet at noon Tuesday at the Italian-American Veterans Centre in Youngstown. Thomas DiBernardi will preside, and guest speaker will be Christine Miller of Aetna Insurance in Columbus. October is open enrollment month for health insurance planning, and Miller will answer questions regarding health insurance options. A report will be given on the PERI annual meeting that was held in Columbus. Cost for lunch will be $7 payable at the door, and the menu will feature chicken cordon bleu, potatoes au gratin, vegetable, salad, rolls, beverage and pumpkin pie. The trip to Seneca Casino has been postponed due to the illness of Mike Senchak and will be rescheduled. The Christmas party is set for Dec. 7. XJohn Alfona will preside at a meeting of the Royal Seniors scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Boardman Park. A representative of Mahoning County Drug Assistance Program will speak. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed. Members can make reservations for the next meeting by placing $6.50 in an envelope and leaving it at the head table. New members are welcome.
