TRUMBULL COUNTY Lakeview tops Niles; Liberty edges Badger

CORTLAND -- Chelsea Butler scored 13 points and Alynn Martin added 11, as Lakeview High defeated Niles 60-43 in a girls basketball game Monday.
Christina Martin had 15 rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-1), who out-rebounded Niles 41-27.
Niles (0-2) was led by Kelly Leonard with 13 points.
Liberty 43, Badger 39
LIBERTY -- Elaina Williams scored 11 points to lead Liberty to its second win of the season.
Michelle Dykes had nine rebounds, seven assists and five steals for the Leopards (2-0).
Badger was led by Tessa Bonar, who scored 13 points.
McDonald 63, Bristol 23
BRISTOLVILLE -- McDonald jumped out to a 27-3 lead after the first quarter.
Amy Dolsak scored 16 points for the Blue Devils (3-1) and Ashleigh Tondo added 15.
Maegan Bellino led Bristol (0-2) with six points.
Maplewood 34, Warren JFK 26
CORTLAND -- Jessica Schwartz had team highs of 15 points and 11 rebounds for Maplewood, which won its third straight game to start the season.
Brittney Bolinger had four assists for the Rockets, who outscored JFK 22-8 in the first and fourth quarters combined.
Alyssa Chaves led the Eagles (2-1) with eight points.
