XUNITED, Pa. -- A reception at Roosevelt Hall in Norvelt, Pa., honored Aaron Marc Detwiler of Beaver, Pa., and his bride, the former Jennifer Laura Dlugos of Latrobe, Pa., following their marriage Nov. 6 at St. Florian Church.
The Rev. William McGuirk performed the 3 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Karen and Don Dlugos, also of Latrobe, and the son of Donna and Jerry Detwiler, 7625 Cobblers Run, Poland.
After a honeymoon to the Pocono Mountains, the couple live in Beaver. The bride is a Title 1 reading teacher at Union Elementary School, New Castle, Pa. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education at Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pa. The groom, a graduate of Westminster with his bachelor's in history, is a manager in training at 84 Lumber in Empire.
The bride wore a gown designed with a scoop neckline, sheer beaded sleeves and an A-line skirt with a jeweled hemline.
Julie Dlugos of Latrobe was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a cranberry gown and shawl, as did Courtney Detwiler of Dayton, the groom's sister; Erin Pugh of New Castle; Angela Komoroski of Latrobe, the bride's cousin; Molly Cready of Grove City, Pa.; and Lindsey Yankle of Poland. Alyssa Detwiler of Chester, N.Y., the groom's niece, was flower girl.
Best man was Ryan Detwiler of Chester, brother of the groom, and groomsmen were Daniel Detwiler of Poland, also his brother; Rob, Matt and Joe Dlugos, all of Latrobe, brothers of the bride; and Dave Pavkovich of Poland. Zachary Dlugos of Latrobe, her nephew, was ring bearer.
