The food bank helps needy families in three counties.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Second Harvest Food Bank will hold its yearly Pampered Chef fund-raising open house Wednesday.
Second Harvest provides food to 200 hunger-relief organizations in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana. Last year, it distributed 4.1 million pounds of food.
The food bank wants the public to see what's new for casual or elegant get-togethers and give people the chance to share recipe and gift ideas. The show will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
New items added
Thirty-four new items were added this season, making it the largest new-product introduction in the Pampered Chef's 24-year history. The open house will be followed by a bingo party.
Pampered Chef, known as "the kitchen store that comes to your door," forwards contributions directly to Second Harvest, 2805 Salt Springs Road.
