Price Pfister faucethas 'hidden agenda'
Pull-out spray faucets have been available in the kitchen for decades -- first as a separate fixture on a hose and recently as part of the primary faucet. Now the same technology is available in faucets installed in bathroom sinks.
Price Pfister markets its new Catalina as a "faucet with a hidden agenda."
On the outside, all you see is the stylish lines of the faucet. But when you need to direct a strong spray to clean away toothpaste or shaving cream residues or to wash your hair, you just tug on the aerator to pull out the spray head and hose.
It offers the same functionality and convenience that has been popular in kitchen faucets for almost 10 years.
According to the company's press materials, the Catalina is "one new tool in a family's arsenal of time-saving strategies that speeds morning preparations and makes cleaning the bathroom sink a cinch."
Consumers can conveniently toggle between standard stream and spray modes by twisting the aerator with the pullout extended or retracted.
A ceramic disc valve is intended to prevent leaks.
