OES Miriam Chapter 278 installs new slate at 97th annual event

The induction took place at the Masonic Temple.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Miriam Chapter 278, Order of the Eastern Star, held its 97th annual installation of officers Nov. 16 at the Youngstown Masonic Temple, Wick Avenue.
The theme for this year is "One Moment in Time," and the officers are as follows: Susan Gillam, worthy matron; Russell Gillam Jr., worthy patron; Laurie Hernandez, associate matron; Jack Maxwell, associate patron; Judy Elliott, secretary; Elberta Scott, treasurer; Merry Beth Vargo, conductress; Barbara T. Parker, associate conductress; Rose Marie Roth, chaplain; Harry Booty, marshal; Marion Brownlee, organist; Linda Woolford, Adah; Norma Wise, Ruth; Blanche Costanza, Esther; Jean Layne, Martha; Jean McClure, electa; Jean Mook, warder; and Carole Maxwell, sentinel.
The installation was conducted by Lou Ann Kilgore of Crescent Chapter, installing officer; Noami Garver, installing marshal; Jean Olzak, installing chaplain; and Priscilla Todd of Jeannette Chapter, installing organist.
