Holiday lunch, flower show held by forum

YOUNGSTOWN -- A holiday luncheon and flower show was held by the Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area on Nov. 10 at Fellows Riverside Garden in Mill Creek MetroParks.
Blue ribbons in design were awarded to Pearl Marlos, Silver Leaf; Rose Marie Roth, Gleaners; Dianna Mullins, Immaculate Heart; and Beverly Italiano, Nature Lovers. The gold seal went to Marlos.
Winning blue ribbons in horticulture were the following: Wanda Hughes, Rae James, Ellen Carolerie, Mary Schall and Norma McMahon, Austintown; Linda Blood, Daphne; Dianna Mullins and Charlene Flesch, Immaculate Heart; Joyce Cervone and M.J. Harbison, Mahoning; Beverly Patrick and Carol Lunger, member-at-large; Virginia LaLama, Moccasin; Sheila Bowman and Beverly Italiano, Nature Lovers; Dorothy Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima; Martha Murphy, St. Edward; Pearl Marlos, Silver Leaf; and Carol Cartwright and Robert Thomas, public. Gold seal winners were Murphy, Patrick, Lunger and Italiano.

Blue ribbons in the craft division were won by Bobbie Kalmer and Ellen Carolerie, Austintown; Linda Blood, Daphne; Helen Beckner, East; Pat Parsons, East Liverpool-Calcutta; Rose Marie Roth and Mildred Campean, Gleaners; Dianna Mullins, Immaculate Heart; Billie Shambaugh and Mary Mihalcik, Moccasin; and Pearl Marlos, Silver Leaf; The gold seal went to Ellen Carolerie.
Judges for the show were Arlene Logan, Judy Smith, Dorothy Haddox, Sheila Bowman, Elsie DeHoff and Sylvia Stefani. Haddox was chairwomen.
