COLLEGE FOOTBALL ROUNDUP \ Friday's games

No. 6 Texas 26, No. 22 Texas A & amp;M 13
AUSTIN, Texas -- Cedric Benson ran for 165 yards and a touchdown, and Vince Young added a touchdown run and 224 yards total for Texas (10-1, 7-1 Big 12). Reggie McNeal passed for 247 yards and a touchdown for A & amp;M (7-4, 5-3), which rebounded from last season's 4-8 finish to become bowl eligible against the toughest schedule in the nation. Three of the Aggies' four losses have come against teams ranked in the top six. After forcing the Aggies to punt on the first possession of the third quarter, Texas' Michael Griffin blocked the kick and Bobby Tatum recovered it for a TD. Texas took a 16-13 lead on its next possession when Nordgren held onto the snap and Mangum kicked a 44-yard field goal. With a strong wind at his back, Mangum extended the Texas lead to 19-13 with a 52-yarder later in the third. Texas took complete control in the fourth, harassing McNeal with a tenacious rush that collected eight sacks and dominated the line of scrimmage. In one fourth-quarter sequence, he was sacked on three straight plays before throwing an interception.
No. 14 LSU 43, Arkansas 14
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- LSU's Marcus Randall ran for two touchdowns and threw two more to Joseph Addai. Randall was 10-for-14 for 173 yards and had 79 yards rushing. Alley Broussard added 81 yards rushing for the Tigers (9-2, 6-2 Southeastern Conference), who ended the game with 26 unanswered points. The loss was Arkansas' first in 18 games at Little Rock under coach Houston Nutt and kept the Razorbacks from qualifying for a seventh consecutive bowl game. Matt Jones, hobbled by a hamstring injury, could not muster the flair that has often sparked the Razorback offense. The senior quarterback and the team's leading rusher was sacked three times and had minus-10 yards on the ground. Confined to the pocket, he was intercepted twice on 12-of-29 passing for 152 yards and two TD passes. Peyton Hillis ran for 66 yards and Steven Harris had five catches for 57 yards and a touchdown for Arkansas (5-6, 3-5).
Colorado 26, Nebraska 20
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Bobby Purify ran for 130 yards and a touchdown and Colorado stayed in alive in the Big 12 North race. Colorado (7-4, 4-4) won its third straight and now needs Missouri to win at Iowa State today to advance to the Big 12 championship game against Oklahoma. The Cornhuskers (5-6, 3-5) ended the season with four losses in five games under new coach Bill Callahan. Nebraska's worst season since 1961 also snapped the Huskers' NCAA record of 35 consecutive years with a bowl appearance. Joel Klatt completed 18 of 29 passes, with one interception, for 222 yards and a touchdown for Colorado. Nebraska's Joe Dailey was 29 of 55 for 306 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions. Cory Ross, the Huskers' 1,000-yard rusher, was held to 35 yards on 11 attempts.
