Santa Claus is coming to Girard

GIRARD -- The Greater Girard Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor Santa Claus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 4.
Santa will arrive either by city firetruck or by limousine, chamber President Pat Rubinic said.
St. Nick will be on hand in the front of the Steppin' Out Dance Studio, 24 West Liberty St., next to Knightline Embroidery, to take pictures with children at $5 a photo.
There will also be a free petting zoo, and goody bags made up by Costello's Candies will be given to children.
Hot chocolate, coffee and doughnuts will also be available.
The chamber has been taking donations of food, money and gift certificates for needy families, and those coming to see Santa Claus can also make a donation or bring a toy gift certificate.
The chamber's annual December meeting will be a combination meeting and Christmas get-together at Amen Corner Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m., in place of the Dec. 15 meeting.
