Holiday cards say something about sender

KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS
So maybe you're bored with the same old traditional holiday cards decked with a wreath, snow scene or Santa. Maybe you want something fancier or sexier. After all, your cards are like your shoes. They say something about you.
The good news is your card choices have expanded. The Wall Street Journal reports that designer Cynthia Rowley and her business partner, Ilene Rosenweig, are introducing cards on the Swell label, which is sold at Target.
Accessories queen and Kansas City native Kate Spade is offering whimsical modern cards, including one in a snowball print. Retail chain Anthropologie has a card showcasing a skater in a sweater of real fabric. You get six for $24.
But you can spend as much as you like. Some small "indie" card companies offer custom designs that cost up to $1,000 for 100, says the WSJ.
As we say, cards can be kind of like shoes.
