Woman tells police she killed her husband, dumped his body
ROCHESTER, Pa. (AP) -- A woman walked into a police station and admitted fatally shooting her husband after he threatened to kill their pets, police said.
Elsie Kost, 60, was charged with homicide in the death of her husband, Edward, also 60, New Sewickey police said. Edward Kost was killed Nov. 16 but authorities didn't find out about the shooting until Elsie Kost came to a Beaver County police station Sunday and confessed shooting him and putting his body in cistern on their property, Police Chief John Daley said in a statement.
Elsie Kost had told others her husband was away at a hunting camp. But she told her daughter about the shooting Sunday and the two went to the police, Daley said.
Kost told authorities she had an argument with her husband and that he pushed and shoved her and threatened to shoot some of the family pets.
Authorities recovered Edward Kost's body Sunday. An autopsy was planned for Monday.
