MAC ROUNDUP Kent State gives away late lead to Old Dominion, loses by five

NORFOLK, Va. -- Isaiah Hunter scored 20 points to lead Old Dominion to a 64-59 victory over Kent State on Monday in the Corpus Christi Challenge.
Hunter had three assists and was 10 of 13 from the free throw line for Old Dominion (2-0), which was down by nine points with eight minutes remaining in the game but surged back on several foul shots by Valdas Vasylius and Hunter.
Kent State (1-2) was led by Jason Edwin, who was 7-of-15 from the field for 17 points.
Miami (Ohio) 66, Xavier 54
CINCINNATI -- Danny Horace scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Miami.
Chet Mason added 18 points and nine rebounds for the RedHawks (2-0), while Monty St. Clair added 10.
Miami built a 15-point lead in the first seven minutes of the second half with a 9-1 run.
Xavier pulled to 59-52 with 2:52 left in the game on two 3-pointers from freshman Stanley Burrell, ending a seven minute stretch without a Musketeer field goal.
Burrell led Xavier (1-1) with 12 points and Justin Doellman scored 10.
Miami outrebounded Xavier 31-26 and shot 56 percent from the floor. Xavier shot just 36 percent from the field.
