WVU's Henrysuspended
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia wide receiver Chris Henry was suspended for Thursday night's game at Pittsburgh for an unspecified violation of team rules.
"I don't want to go into the specifics about it, but we do have rules regarding effort in the class room, in the weight room and on the practice field," coach Rich Rodriguez said. "And when those rules are violated, obviously the young men have to face some disciplinary action."
It marks the second suspension for Henry in less than a month. The junior sat out the first half of the Temple game after being ejected from the Rutgers game for receiving two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. He also didn't start the Rutgers game because of previous on-the-field antics.
Henry's 811 receiving yards this season are nearly half of the team's total. His 12 touchdown catches are a school record.
Redshirt freshman Dwayne Thompson will start in Henry's place. Senior Eddie Jackson also will be available after missing the Boston College game with a knee injury.
