Canfield High graduate Nicole Vlajkovich had a career-high 16 rebounds.
ERIE, Pa. -- Bethany fell to Juniata Sunday 50-46 in the consolation game of the Penn State-Behrend women's tournament.
Katie Resanovich had 11 points and 13 rebounds for Bethany (0-2). Courtney Irwin had career-highs of 16 points and seven rebounds and Nicole Vlajkovich (Canfield) had a career-high 16 rebounds.
On Saturday, Bethany lost to Penn State Behrend, 75-73, in double overtime. Jenny Place led the Bison with 24 points.
Westminster 50, Denison 33
NEW CONCORD -- Westminster (2-0) won the Muskingum Invitational, as Alyson Gasper had 15 points and seven assists. Erica Tallo added 10 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Gasper was named tournament MVP and Desiree Sterling was also named to the all-tournament team by averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The Big Red (1-1) were paced by Caitlin Krupka with nine points.
Hiram 78, Wilson (Pa.) 53
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -- Cassie Bedard led Hiram with 19 points and was 9 of 12 at the free throw line. Amanda Hummel added 16 points and Jamie Hanson and Debbie Barb each scored 10. Jessica Harris had nine rebounds.
Men
HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Thiel's Daryl Moore finished with 26 points and six assists to lead the Tomcats to a 91-63 victory over Penn State Berks-Lehigh Valley Sunday in the consolation game of the Mutual Benefit "Doc" Greene Tournament at Juniata.
Ryan Singleton finished with 15 points and Max Slater (Southington) added 13.
Grove City 83, Allegheny 66
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Phil Bushre was named tournament MVP of the West Penn Classic as his 14-point effort helped Grove City to an 83-66 win over Allegheny.
Bushre scored 23 points in the Wolverines' 81-73 win over Carnegie Mellon on Friday night. Ryan Eller scored 20 points Saturday and joined Bushre on the all-tournament team.
Chase McKim led Allegheny (1-1) with 14 points. Grove City is 2-0.
Olivet 105, Westminster 96
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Mark DeMonaco scored 24 points and had eight assists and three steals for the Titans (1-1). Dom Joseph added 20 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while Pat O'Connor and Chris Hatch added 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Olivet was led by Will Lee with 22 points.
Heidelberg 104, Hiram 84
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Carlton Dean led Hiram with 29 points, while A.J. White added 17 and T.C. Spencer scored 10.
Chuck Williams had seven rebounds and White had eight assists.
Bethany 91,Case Western Reserve 82
ERIE, Pa. -- Bethany (1-1) was led by Mike Drahos with 28 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field. He added a team-high eight rebounds.
In two games this season, Drahos is averaging 25 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
Jim Deep scored 19 points and Brandon Duncan added 17 points. Chris Stephens had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
Walsh 104, Houghton 54
NORTH CANTON -- Jason Hicks scored 20 points and Rob Whaley added 17 for Walsh (2-0), which led 51-26 at halftime.
Randy Sistrunk had 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Jake Steuer scored 11 points.
