Pillow fight at school fails to set a record

COLUMBUS (AP) -- They didn't set a record, but the 350 Ohio State University students who took part in a pillow fight on the South Oval in the rain had a sloppy good time.
The rumpus on Wednesday was partly designed to let students blow off steam before Saturday's Ohio State-Michigan football game, and organizers said it was a success in that respect.
But participation in the attempt to break the Guinness record for "World's Largest Pillow Fight" fell far short of the 1,075 needed to surpass the mark set March 4 at Duke University.
Still, the students who wrestled, slid in mud and cheered seemed to have a good time.
"It's raw Buckeye spirit," said Deyannira Tirado, 22, of Columbus, a fifth-year senior.22
