Woods observe 50th anniversary with cruise, picnic

XAUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wood, 4706 Kirk Road, celebrated their 50th anniversary during a family picnic in September.
As part of the observance, the couple also left Oct. 25 on a Caribbean cruise arranged by their family, Donald Wood Jr., Dan and Mimi Wood, Edward and Lynn Wood, and Douglas and Olga Wood.
The couple, who were married Oct. 30, 1954, at Four Mile Run Christian Church, are members of Lynn Church of Christ. They are the grandparents of five.
Mrs. Wood, the former Elizabeth Cox, and her husband retired from Austintown Board of Education after being employed as school-bus drivers.
Mr. Wood served with the Air Force and is also retired from United Engineering.
