XYOUNGSTOWN -- A reception at St. Mary Assumption Social Center honored Michael F. Greenwalt Jr., 2216 Connecticut Ave., and his bride, the former Megan Elizabeth Walsh of the same address, who were married by the Rev. James Daprile at 1 p.m. Oct. 16 at St. Brendan Church.
Their parents are Michael and Susan Walsh, 5691 Cider Mill Crossing, Austintown, and Michael Sr. and Rebecca Greenwalt, 42 N. Belle Vista Ave.
Victorian lace, pearls and sequins embellished the bride's ivory gown styled with a sweetheart neckline.
Honor attendant was Jennifer Deuley. Bridesmaids were Christina Greenwalt, Hope Dale and Mechelle Malahtaris, the groom's sisters; Melissa and Julie Johnson, the bride's cousins, and Heidi Monk and Jessica Tremayne. They wore cinnamon and wine dresses. Honorary flower girls were Rebecca Greenwalt and Savannah Dale, his nieces.
The groom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Shannon Greenwalt, the groom's brother; Christopher and Timothy Walsh, the bride's brothers; Paul Malahtaris, his brother-in-law; and Greg Joachim, Alexander Pascarella and Terrence Quigley. Ring bearer was Brandon Malahtaris, his nephew.
The couple honeymooned in Chicago.
The bride graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She is a copy editor at the Tribune Chronicle in Warren. The groom, who attended Columbus State Community College, is a winder at Magnetech in Boardman.
