XNEWTON FALLS -- Montego Bay, Jamaica, was the honeymoon destination of Ryan James Grope and his bride, the former Jaclyn Ann Lewis, who were married during a 3:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Rev. Ryan Hetzel on Oct. 9 at the United Methodist Church of Newton Falls.
The daughter of Dennis and Linda Lewis, 10031 Scotts Corners Road, Diamond, and the son of Ray and Jennifer Grope, 9631 Gladstone Road, North Jackson, accepted congratulations during a reception held afterward at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in North Jackson.
Black gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Cyndi Martin, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Oconnell, the groom's sister; Allison Gokey; Megan Coss; and Kristin Oconnell, his niece. Lainie and Emma Grope, also his nieces, were flower girls.
Rob Grope served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Brian Lewis, the bride's brother; Tim Darney; Steve Layman; and Cory Oconnell, the groom's nephew. Ring bearer was Tim Oconnell, also his nephew.
The bride, a registered nurse at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Akron.
The groom graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in business management and is a supervisor with Kimball Hill Homes in Cleveland.
