Someone spied on Ryan and Greenlee, and fired shots at them at a rest stop while driving home from the perfume factory. Jamie and Babe dodged trouble with the police and headed south. Meanwhile, in Pine Valley, Adam began to wonder if Bess is really Miranda, which J.R. hotly contested. When Erica wouldn't tell Bianca the contents of Babe's letter, and Tad was unwilling to tell Bianca the truth and place Babe and Jamie in danger, Bianca confronted J.R. Kendall was unable to pry money out of J.R. or to sell her Fusion stock to bail Ethan out of jail. Maria got angry when Edmund told Maddie and Sam about the divorce plans. Ben performed emergency surgery on Aaron but afterward questioned his own performance, while John quietly began to investigate Ben. Unaware of the threat Les posed to Julia, Carly enabled Les to grab J.J. at the schoolyard and then Les almost killed Julia until Holden rescued her. Nick lashed out at Deacon about his affair with Jackie, and refused to forgive Jackie, even after she apologized to a sedated Massimo. Nick later received good news when the doctor reported Massimo's progress, and Nick secretly had him moved to a neurology clinic. Deacon urged Jackie to start a new life with him. When Ridge still insisted that Nick choose which line to sell in the Jackie M boutiques, Thorne vowed not to let Ridge get away with it. Caitlin was upset to learn that Rick would be transferring to the Milan office. Amber finally realized that there would never be peace or understanding from Stephanie on the subject of Thomas. When Lucas told Sami they're through, Sami tried to make him see that she only wanted to make sure Brandon was gone. However, Brandon did spend the night in Salem, and came face to face with Sami at the hospital. Bonnie pushed up her wedding to Mickey, giving Maggie a shock when she returned home to find out that Mickey and Bonnie were married. Jennifer had an emotional reunion with Abby, who met her new baby brother, but doesn't know that Jack is missing and presumed dead. Abe was reunited with Lexie, but may be suffering from a serious medical condition. Shawn and Belle connected while playing with Zack. Shawn's head pain left him in o shape to think about moving on with Jan. Tony issued a warning to Marlena and Roman. Coming: Sami's emotions are in a tailspin.

Sam collapsed and was rushed into surgery. When Sam recovered, she had to deal with her baby's death, and wrongly assumed that her child had to die in order for Kristina to get the stem cells she needed to live. As Kristina's condition worsened, Sonny hired a lawyer to press for full custody. Carly took Michael and Morgan and moved into the cottage Durant bought her, as Michael inadvertently took a file with him that would incriminate Sonny. Emily and Nikolas helped Connor escape, and Emily tried reassuring Connor he wasn't responsible for Mary's death. Connor suddenly kissed Emily. Heather put Laura on a plane so that Luke found the Quartermaine attic empty. Coming: Durant gets what he's been waiting for.

Phillip gathered all his enemies and made offers to each of them, but privately had no intention of returning the children. Someone later shot Phillip. As Harley confided to Gus that she did something horrible, Alan was told that Phillip is dead. Cassie was overwhelmed by Edmund's admission that he's known and helped Dinah for some time, and she fainted. Jonathan was furious when, instead of widening the rift with Josh over his attempts to get rid of Jonathan, Reva forgave Josh. Cristian escaped from his cell on the ship and, although badly wounded, made it to Llanfair where he observed Natalie. John was suspicious when Blair and Dorian were caught in the graveyard. John dug up the judge's grave and found Paul's body, but was knocked unconscious. When he came to, the body was gone, but John spotted the Badhra necklace. David admitted to Dorian that he moved Paul's body and is certain she killed him. After John released Natalie from jail, Evangeline accused John of letting his feelings for Natalie jeopardize his work, and broke up with him. Tico threatened Todd over articles about him in the Sun, which Jessica worked on. Coming: An arrest is made for Paul's murder.

Despite Eve's plea to save their marriage, T.C. served her with divorce papers. Eve held Liz responsible, as she and Julian tried to convince T.C. that Liz used devious methods to become involved in his life. Tabitha took advantage of an unaware Paloma to get at Pilar. When Pilar finally realized that Mr. Wheeler is the husband who abandoned her, she fainted, hitting her head. Luis later caught Martin and Katherine as they prepared to leave Harmony in order to shield their loved ones from Alistair. Unable to admit her deception to Fox, Whitney said they couldn't see each other anymore. Ethan and Gwen saw disturbing medical information. Coming: Pilar makes a shocking move.

Malcolm and Neil saw each other. Ashley was stunned when Brad announced that he is keeping the house and Abby will live with him. When Victor found out, he lamented not being able to see Abby, and decided to search for Victoria.
