3 victims stable after fiery crash in West Salem

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Three people injured in a fiery two-car crash in West Salem Township remained hospitalized Saturday.
Nicole Daris, 21, of Coal Bank Road and Steven Loomis of Tower Road, Dorset, Ohio, were both in stable condition in St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown. Vicki Keller of Espyville was in stable condition in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Police said Daris and Keller were the drivers of the two vehicles that collided at the intersection of Good Hope and Kinsman roads around 5:30 p.m. Friday. Daris was westbound on Kinsman Road and had a stop sign, but police don't know if she stopped. Keller was headed north on Good Hope Road.
Loomis was a passenger in the Keller vehicle, police said.
Greenville firefighters said the two vehicles were ablaze when rescue crews arrived and the three people were trapped inside.
The impact caused both cars to flip onto their roofs, and investigators found them lying in ditches about 200 feet apart, firefighters said.
Keller was wearing a seat belt, but police didn't know if Loomis and Daris wore seat belts. Keller's car was cut in half in the crash, police said.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation, police said Saturday.
