WARREN HIGH SCHOOLS Nominations sought for Alumni Hall



Members include a suffrage leader, an astronaut and a news executive.
WARREN -- The board of directors of the Warren City Schools' Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2005 class of inductees.
Nominees will be inducted in May and will join 114 Hall of Fame members.
The nomination deadline is Monday.
Recipients are selected based on one or more of the criteria:
UAchievement while a student at Warren high schools and/or outstanding service to the school district.
UOutstanding achievements in vocational pursuits as evidenced by awards or honors conferred by colleagues, organization or the government.
UContributions made to the community or government.
UMeritorious recognition for action taken, service provided or exemplary accomplishment.
USpecific philanthropic involvement.
UOther criteria which may be brought before the board from internal or external sources.
This will be the 13th induction banquet honoring distinguished alumni of Harding, Warren High School and Western Reserve.

The 2005 inductees will join the likes of women's suffrage leader Harriet Taylor Upton, astronaut Ronald Parise and Roger Ailes, president of Fox News Network.
The Hall of Fame was started by Frank Calvin, who along with former Superintendent Louis Cardamone, formed a committee of school personnel and community leaders to develop it.
The first induction banquet was in 1993 at the Park Hotel.
