State Route 45 reopensbetween Salem, Lisbon
SALEM -- State Route 45 between Salem and Lisbon, closed because of flooding in August, reopened about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Becky McCarty, a spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Transportation.
ODOT expected the reopening would be today or Monday at the latest.
But a contractor working at the site was able to locate guardrails needed to complete the project. McCarty said the road was reopened right after the installation.
The road has been closed since late August, when heavy rains washed out the road and a large culvert beneath it.
