Fleeing suspect kills motorist

READING, Ohio (AP) -- A driver being chased by police Sunday rear-ended another car, killing the woman inside, police said.
The woman's car struck a utility pole in front of a used car lot in this community near Cincinnati and came to rest on its top. The woman was not identified.
Police in nearby Evendale responded to a 911 cell phone call of a domestic disturbance at a drugstore, and the male suspect fled in his car about 5:05 p.m., said a police source.
The motorist, Randy Smith, 52, of Cincinnati, resisted arrest after the chase, Foust said.
Smith was in series condition at University Hospital in Cincinnati.
, where the female passenger in his car also was taken. Foust said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police plan to discuss possible charges against Smith with the Hamilton County prosecutor's office, Foust said.
