3 face a multitude of charges after bar fight that injured man



NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Three men were charged after a a man was injured in a bar fight at Buzz and Rich's Tavern on Hamilton Street.
The fight broke out at 1 a.m. Saturday because the suspects were "running their mouths," according to what the victim told police.
Police said Antonio Gardner, 20, of Pin Oak Drive took the first swing at the 27-year-old victim. Another man, Reginald Jamal Mills, 24, of Detroit, smashed a beer bottle against the wall and then hit the victim with the jagged edges.
A third man, Lionell Isiah Edwards, 18, also of Detroit started punching the victim. Police said the victim was taken to Jameson Hospital and received treatment for a head injury.
The suspects were pulled over in their vehicles on Long Avenue. As Gardner was being processed, police said a baggy fell from his mouth and the substance inside tested positive for crack cocaine.
He was charged with possession with intent to deliver, simple assault, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and criminal mischief.
Mills was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief; and Edwards was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, underage drinking and driving without a license.
