WARREN -- British actor Roger Jerome will be featured in a free public program to be presented at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W.
The actor will present a program of stories that will take the audience on a cultural journey through the United Kingdom as he incorporates local dialects and colorful characters into his narrative.

Chamber choir festival
CORTLAND -- Ohio Music Educators Association District V, which includes Ashtabula, Trumbull and Mahoning counties, will host its 19th annual Chamber Choir Festival at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Raidel Auditorium at Lakeview High School. Thirteen chamber choirs from different schools will perform individually and as one choir of 300 voices.
The combined choir will be led by Dr. Hae-Jong Lee, director of choral studies at Youngstown State University Dana School of Music. Lee is director of the Dana Chorale and University Chorus at Dana and was guest conductor of the Pusan City Choir in Pusan, Korea, last July. The festival accompanist will be Kathy Miller, organist and director of music at First Presbyterian Church in Warren.
Participating high school chamber choirs include Champion, Grand Valley, Geneva, Howland, Jefferson Area, Lakeview, Maplewood, Mathews, Newton Falls, Niles McKinley, Poland, Warren G. Harding and Woodrow Wilson. YSU Dana Chorale also will perform in the evening concert.

Festival of Lights
CANFIELD -- Yellow Creek Park's Festival of Lights drive-through light show will open Friday for previews. The theme of the 15th annual show is "Lights of Imagination," and more than 3 million mini-lights are used to dress steel sculptures. The largest displays are Noah's Ark, which features 50,000 lights, and a replica of the Eiffel Tower in France. The official opening will be Thanksgiving night. Hours are from 5:30 to 10 p.m. nightly through New Year's Day. Admission is $5 per person or $20 per car of up to seven people. Yellow Duck Park is on state Route 46. Cedar Point auditions
PITTSBURGH -- Auditions for entertainers and technicians' jobs at Cedar Point Amusement Park will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Lawrence Hall Lobby at Point Park College, 201 Wood St. Cedar Point, in Sandusky, seeks performers, musicians, stage managers, sound engineers, lighting technicians and costume shop personnel for the 2005 season.
