XLOWELLVILLE -- Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Oct. 2 as Carla Baker and Michael Alfano were joined in marriage by the Rev. Gerald DeLucia.
A reception was held afterward at The Embassy in Struthers to honor the daughter of Gary and Louisa Baker, Poland, and son of Phillip and Lynn Alfano, Lowellville.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Aruba, and live at the Tudor Lane address.
The bride's satin A-line gown featured an apron back and an organza inset embellished with metallic embroidery.
Wine-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendants, Denise Baker and Deborah D'Amico, and the bridesmaids, Carmelann Maszczak, Angie Blinsky, Patricia Fire, Carisa Murray, Nicole Hackstedde and Stacy Guerriero. Junior bridesmaid was Kayla Maszczak, and flower girls were Gianna D'Amico and Olivia Alfano.
The duties of best man were shared by Ron Blinsky and James Alfano, and groomsmen were Joseph Alfano, Phillip Alfano, Wes Maszczak, Thomas Ramano, James Nolfi and Sean Gaffney. Junior groomsman was Anthony Alfano.
The bride is a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She graduated from Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in New Castle.
The groom graduated from Local 396 Plumbers and Pipefitters Apprenticeship Program in Youngstown and Warren. He is a pipefitter with Prout Boiler Heating and Welding Inc. in Youngstown and a first responder with Lowellville Fire Department.
