Sentenced in man's death
NILES -- A 43-year-old city woman was sentenced Wednesday in municipal court to 45 days in a work-release program in the death of a Warren motorcyclist.

Police reported that Simon attempted to make a left turn from Mall Boulevard into the Kmart Supercenter parking lot and pulled into the path of the cycle that Hake was driving. Hake, who died Feb. 4, 2004, tried to avoid the vehicle Simon was driving, lost control and crashed.
