NOTEBOOK | Browns vs. Ravens
Davis expected to play: Browns WR Andre' Davis expected to play Sunday and was listed as probable with a sprained toe. He left the Browns' Oct. 17 win over Cincinnati following a 99-yard TD reception and sat out their Oct. 24 loss to Philadelphia.
Update Lewis returns: If there was concern about how Jamal Lewis mentally dealt with his two-game suspension, the Pro Bowl running back shed light on the situation before practice Wednesday. "I was all right," Lewis said. "I wasn't torn apart by the whole deal. As long as I could work out, I was all right. But being able to come in last week and get back in the groove of things, watching film and working out, got me ready." Lewis returned to the team a week ago but was not able to participate in team activities until Monday. He will start Sunday night's game against the Browns after a league-mandated suspension for his plea bargain in a federal drug case.
Bryant makes progress: Browns WR Antonio Bryant made progress in learning the Browns offense during the bye week, coach Butch Davis said. Bryant is in his third week with the Browns after being acquired from Dallas on Oct. 19 for WR Quincy Morgan.
No target date: Ravens LB Peter Boulware practiced for the first time this year but said he will not play Sunday and gave little indication of when he will. Boulware said he has learned from the past about announcing return dates. "I really haven't set a target," he said. "I set a target earlier to be back by the end of training camp, and that didn't happen, so I quit setting dates for myself. Whenever [the knee is] healthy and I'm ready to go, I'll go out there and play. Hopefully, it's sooner than later."
Browns roster: WR Andre King (ankle) was listed as doubtful for Sunday. ... The Browns have promoted WR Richard Alston from the practice squad.
Ravens roster: TE Todd Heap (ankle) missed much of practice Wednesday, and it appears unlikely he and OT Jonathan Ogden (hamstring) will play against Cleveland. Both are listed as questionable. Ogden is almost certainly out. Kyle Boller (back), Ray Lewis (knee), B.J. Sams (knee) and Musa Smith (shoulder) are all probable. Lewis also missed a portion of practice.
