MERCER COUNTY Judge hands out sentences for drug-related crimes
The crimes involved cocaine and marijuana.
MERCER, Pa. -- Several people recently were sentenced for drug-related crimes by Judge Christopher St. John of Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
Lamar Chestnut, 25, of North Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, was sentenced to nine to 23 months in Mercer County Jail followed by two years' probation for two counts of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and unlawful use of a communication facility, both felonies. According to court documents, on Oct. 15 and 28, 2003, and March 16, 2004, at a Sterling Avenue, Sharon address, Chestnut sold cocaine to a confidential agent, and used a telephone to arrange the sale.
Josh Gehr, 27, of Orangeville Road, Greenville, was sentenced to four to 23 months in the Mercer County Jail for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a felony. On Sept. 5 and Dec. 31, 2003, Gehr sold marijuana to a confidential informant at an Orangeville Street, Greenville address, court documents state.
Jackie Johnson, 48, of Forker Avenue, Sharon, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $1,500 and placed on 23 months' house arrest for unlawful use of a communication facility, a felony. On Jan. 14, 2004, according to court documents, at a First Avenue, Sharon address, she had a phone conversation with a confidential informant about the purchase of cocaine.
Shawn Roberts, 37, of Alderman Avenue, Sharon, was sentenced to nine to 23 months in Mercer County Jail followed by five years' probation and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service for possession of cocaine, a misdemeanor. On Jan. 22 and Feb. 11, 2004, Roberts, according to court documents, sold cocaine to a confidential informant at Sharon and Farrell locations.
Jerone Williams, 30, of 497 McClure Avenue, Sharon, was sentenced to six to 23 months in the Mercer County jail followed by three years probation for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, a felony. On Oct. 22 and Nov. 18, 2003, he sold cocaine to a confidential informant at Sharon and Farrell locations, court documents state.
