A special temporary PGA Tour member, Harrington is eligible for the season-ending tournament because his earnings -- almost $2.2 million -- are enough to place him within the top 30. ... Tiger Woods, the 1999 winner at Champions, is making his first start since marrying Elin Nordegren on Oct. 5. In his last start, he finished ninth in the American Express Championship in Ireland on Oct. 3. ... East Lake -- the course where Bobby Jones learned to play -- also was the site of the 1998, 2000 and 2002 tournaments. Hal Sutton won in 1998, Phil Mickelson took the 2000 title and Singh won in 2002. ... The Franklin Templeton Shootout team event is next week in Naples, Fla.

Sorenstam has six LPGA Tour victories this year to push her career total to 54. ... The 78-player field features 43 LPGA Tour players and 35 Japan LPGA players. ... The Tournament of Champions is next week in Mobile, Ala., followed by the season-ending ADT Championship in West Palm Beach, Fla.
