Theft: Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St., reported that four packs of cigarettes and two cans of smokeless tobacco were stolen by a male juvenile, who was caught, then released to his parents.

Theft: A letterman jacket was reported stolen from Canfield High School, along with the keys to an SUV.

Theft: A woman reported that her daughter's cell phone was stolen from Canfield Middle School, 42 Wadsworth St.

Theft: A woman reported that her purse had been stolen at a Scott Street laundry center, along with $42 in cash, a digital camera and a black cell phone.

Theft: A Hoover steam vacuum was reported stolen from the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: A suspect was arrested in a theft in the 5000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: A check was taken from the mail in the 1000 block of Fountain Square apartments.
Destroyed animal: A raccoon was put down in the 400 block of Idlewood Road.
