STRUTHERS -- Judge James R. Lanzo set a pretrial hearing date of May 6, 2005, for Amy L. Stoner, 31, of 81 Notre Dame Drive, Campbell.
Stoner is charged with stealing $750 from the medical office of Andrew Lockshaw, 296 E. Manor Ave., while employed there.
She was arraigned in municipal court Monday after turning herself in to police.
7 arrested at a party
STRUTHERS -- Seven men will be arraigned in municipal court Wednesday evening on charges of disorderly conduct after being arrested at a party.
Police responded to a party at 376 W. Harvey about 10:30 p.m. Friday. Vincent M. Vidman, 20, who lives at the house; Shawn Machel, 20, of 116 Park Avenue; Thomas Buckley, 24, of 555 W. Como; Michael G. Dubos, 19, of 423 Maplewood; and Vito Palumbo, 19, of 611 Geneva; along with Robert C. Whippo, 19, of 1747 Lynn Mar Ave., Poland; and John Patrick Taylor, 19, of 306 Meadowbrook, Boardman, were all charged.
BB gun shooting
YOUNGSTOWN -- An 11-year-old boy from Dorothy Avenue acknowledged to police that he fired a BB gun Monday afternoon in the direction of a 37-year-old Lee Street woman but not at her, reports show.
The woman was hit in the midsection of her back as she was unlocking her back door and, when she turned, caught a glimpse of a boy with a rifle in a second-floor rear window of a house on Dorothy.
As police investigated, the boy and his mother arrived. Officers arrested the boy on charges of felonious assault and criminal damaging.
Vehicle recovered
CAMPBELL -- Police recovered a 1996 Jeep Laredo that was apparently taken from the owner by two men who said he owed them money.
A police report said the wife of the man who was accosted told police that her husband was forced from the vehicle near the intersection of Jackson and Jean streets.
Police recovered the vehicle from the 100 block of Jean Street. The report does not say when the vehicle was taken or when it was recovered.
Woman's purse snatched
YOUNGSTOWN -- The purse of a 76-year-old West Princeton Avenue woman was snatched Monday afternoon on Glenwood Avenue after she cashed two checks and bought a carton of cigarettes at Big A's convenience store, police said.
Pregnant suspect sought
STRUTHERS -- Police are seeking the identity of a young pregnant woman believed to have stolen a checkbook and debit card from a 79-year-old Creed Street woman and using them to buy more than $400 worth of merchandise.
According to a police report, the young woman has long light brown hair and on Oct. 28 asked to use the victim's telephone to call for a ride.
The next day, the victim discovered her wallet and checkbook missing.
After contacting the bank, the elderly woman learned that a young pregnant woman with long brown hair had used the checkbook and debit card to make several unauthorized transactions, including buying $82.94 worth of Newport and Newport Light cigarettes at Rite Aid on Youngstown-Poland Road.
