Sparks 63, Shock 60
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Nikki Teasley scored 12 of her 15 points after halftime to lead Los Angeles to a comeback win in a rematch of last year's WNBA finals. They Shock blew a 13-point lead with 12-plus minutes remaining even though the Sparks' Lisa Leslie was on the bench with 2:35 to go. After Leslie fouled out with 12 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, Los Angeles scored 12 straight points to take a 63-57 lead with 17 seconds remaining. Detroit's Swin Cash made a 3-pointer with 6.8 seconds to go, then Mwadi Mabika missed two free throws to set up a chance for Detroit to force overtime. But Deanna Nolan missed a 3-pointer just before the buzzer. Cash scored 17 points, and Nolan had 16. Mabika contributed 12 points, including a 16-foot jumper with 46.6 seconds remaining that gave the Sparks their first lead since they were ahead 12-11. Tamecka Dixon added 11 points, including a 3-pointer that tied the game at 57 with 1:33 to go. Los Angeles missed 17 of its first 18 shots, but needed to make just two straight baskets to take the lead midway through the first half. Detroit led 32-22 at halftime and 48-35 midway through the second half. Los Angeles went on a 11-2 run to spark its game-winning rally.
