TOURNAMENT Shotgun start set for golf scramble
Numerous team and individual prizes to be awarded at reception.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The sixth annual Golf Classic Scramble to be held by the American Heart Association will take place June 21 at the Youngstown Country Club where play will begin with a shotgun start 1 p.m.
Fees for golfers participating in the 18-hole, four-person scramble are $250 each, and the fee for a team of four is $1,000. The entrance fee entitles players to lunch, beginning at 11:30 a.m., a golf cart, refreshments on the course and an awards reception.
Numerous team and individual prizes will be awarded, and golfers will have an opportunity to win two hole-in-one prizes, a new car or airfare for two to anywhere in the continental United States.
A special closest-to-the-pin challenge will enable one golfer to win a diamond ring, and all participants will be eligible to win gifts and prizes during a special drawing.

Purpose
The event is planned as a benefit for the Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull divisions of the American Heart Association, and proceeds will benefit cardiovascular research.
Dr. Michael Burley and Joseph Valvo are co-chairmen of the event and their planning committee is comprised of Jerry Ambrosia, Dan Aulizia II, Timothy Garthwaite, Dr. Timothy Hunter, Joe Kelty, Ray McCune, Allison Medlinger, David Patrick, Marty Santillo, Chris Schroeder, and Marie Scott.
