Timko jubilee is celebrated at afternoon party

XHUBBARD -- Mr. and Mrs. Alex Timko of Parish Avenue were guests of honor during a party April 24 at the Brentford House for the celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the event were made by the honorees' children and their spouses, Dennis and Isabelle Stombaugh of Akron, Judge James and Ilona Puhger of Atlanta, Robert and Irene Rostas of Columbus, Gary and Dr. Ileen Burns of Pittsburgh, Joseph and Susann Timko of Liberty and James Timko of Meadville, Pa.
The former Isabelle Haluska and Mr. Timko were married April 27, 1944, at St. Stephen of Hungary Church in Youngstown. They renewed their marriage vows at the church and received a blessing from the Rev. Melvin Rusnak.
Mr. Timko retired in 1978 from Aeroquip, Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Army and was a sergeant.
Retiring in 1987, Mrs. Timko was a media center clerk and secretary at Hubbard High School.
They have lived in Hubbard for 45 years.
The family circle includes five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
