Ribbons awarded by Garden Forum

YOUNGSTOWN -- Blue ribbons were awarded when the Garden Forum held its May Flower Show on May 15 and 16 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
Blue ribbons in design went to Dorothy Haddox, Our Lady of Fatima; Pearl Marlos, Silver Leaf; Elsie DeHoff, Austintown; and Ester Bertch, Nature Lovers. Marlos also won the gold seal in this division.
Blue ribbons in horticulture went to Norma McMahon and Irene John, Austintown; Marlos, Silver Leaf; Sheila Bowman, Nature Lovers; Dianna Mullins, Immaculate Heart of Mary; Martha Murphy, St. Edward's; Mary Mihalcik, Moccasin; Peggy Potts, Johnny Appleseed; Evelyn Resek, Mahoning; Lynn Hoffman, Men's Garden Club; Carol Lunger, member at large; Irene Parthemos (who died May 22) and Laura Schaller, public. Resek won the gold seal.
DeHoff was chairwoman.
